It also makes it easier to eye how much using AND it’s easier to scoop up a tsp or two. This salt cellar looks cute on your counter top and keeps your salt fresh and free from moisture!

It’s easy to handle with the two corner holes, it’s unbreakable (literally) and also works great for making ice cream! 1. My top picks from your selection are: 1) The Oyster Mushroom Log Kit 2) Rose Gold Food Scale 3) OXO 10 Piece Storage Containers. My sister started with growing her own mushrooms and I am so jealous! I love mushrooms and oh my word are they getting pricey. I can just imagine how amazing it would be to have my own mushrooms on tap! I really need a food scale – I have actually never had one and I love baking! It will make my life easier than trying to figure out what the weight of everything is in cups so I can use my measuring cups. And of course storage containers… one can never have enough right? I love this roundup, thank you!

    1. Hi Lynne!

Yes I love my some mushrooms and girl they are getting so pricey! I understand thought. I appreciate the effort and respect farmers but now that I’ve found this log it’s for sure on my Christmas list. I have just recently gotten really into baking and it’s super helpful! I know and OXO makes some solid storage containers. I know a lot of people stray away from higher priced containers but they last SO MUCH longer.

Thank you so much for your feed back and for visiting!!

  2. I really loved this site! It has such great gift ideas that I will be looking at for my family this year. thank you!!

I do love how your prices on there and a link to the item and then it goes to Amazon. that’s great, But I would have done something different, I would have put the item’s price above the item, I click on and it went to the different item and it’s very confessing to me, but I can get used to the way it is. just my thoughts on the site. Have a great day and thanks again for the site it’s great!!

    1. Hi Rebekah!

You are so welcome, I’m glad you loved it! And thank you so much for the feedback. I’ve done it a little different on some of my other articles and was testing this format out so I’m glad you said something! I will keep that in mind for future posts.

      Have an amazing day! 🙂

  3. So I love that you’ve decided to focus on kitchen products that would be great for a new cook or a veteran cook. My personal favorite is the OXO 10 piece containers. I think my mom would love those. I also love the beginners sushi set. I think that would be fun for me. I’ve always wanted to try to make my own sushi!!

    1. Hi Melanie!

Thank you so much! As much as I love recipes (which might be my 2nd website) it’s important to know, understand and respect what you’re making those recipes with! I love the OXO containers. So many people stray away from good quality containers because of the price but the lesser priced flimsy plastic containers just don’t cut it for very long! My friend was gifted a sushi kit similar to this one a few years ago and loved it! It brings a little fun back into your home during these bizarre times.

  4. OmG Haley, I’m so glad I came across this article. Christmas is a few days away and I had no idea on what to get my mum who btw absolutely loves cooking. The Rose Gold food scale would be an exceptional addition to her “kitchen babies” like she so fondly calls them. I might just throw in the OXO 10 piece container for good measure. Thank you so much

    1. Thank you so much! I’m glad you found it helpful 🙂

Christmas is creeping up on us quickly this year! I love that she calls them kitchen babies, that’s adorable hahaha! The containers are amazing and much needed and they’ll last a long time!

      Have a wonderful day!

  5. Thanks for the info. I love cooking but sadly, life has become so busy that we don’t have time for hobbies any more. Your website has provided some shortcuts for me! I didn’t know we could make tortillas at home. I think I’ll give this a go this weekend…
I also love the Fancy Raclette Set. I am thinking of someone; a family chef who might like that for Christmas who can make use of it in several ways

    1. Hi Allan!

Oh no! Hopefully life will slow down every once in a while for you in the coming future so that you can enjoy your hobbies more frequently. It’s hard to slow down right now, but it’s so important. Remember to enjoy the moments you have!

Homemade tortillas are SO GOOD! Not to knock on store bought, but you just can’t beat the authenticity of something homemade. Raclette’s are really neat too and make for amazing gift! It’s also the gift of sharing, safely in these times of course! Perfect for a movie night!

  6. Salt Fat Acid Heat I like the idea with the movie is getting easier and faster? What kind of recipes do they have in the movie if it is not a problem to list at least one? I like your post and processing the topic every part on the recommendation.

    1. Hi Dragan!

The Netflix documentary is a 4 episode series on salt, fat, acid and heat, and how each of them is essential to each other and to each dish. It shows Samin traveling all over the world to locations that are special in her life to each ingredient. It follows her journey and experience as a chef and teaches us how to create those amazing bursts of flavors we know and love through salt, fat, acid and heat.

      Thank you so much!
